Who says all skewers have to be savory? This sweet version combines Luna and Miles' favorite treats (and a little fruit) into a fun end-of-the-BBQ dessert. While the adults are grilling, let the kiddos skewer their choices of colorful fruit, doughnut holes, and crispy rice treats together. There’s even a homemade chocolate dipping sauce to dunk the skewers in—because at this point, why not?—and the adults will probably be reaching for them by the end of the night, too.
½ cup heavy cream
¾ cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 tsp. light corn syrup
¼ tsp. ground cinnamon (optional)
2 (0.78 oz.) crispy rice treats, cut into quarters
8 medium strawberries, stemmed
8 powdered doughnut holes
1 medium kiwi, peeled, cut into 8 (½-inch thick) half moons
1 large banana, peeled and cut into 8 slices
8 pineapple wedges (about 1 cup)
8 (10-inch) wooden skewers
