    stick unsalted butter, softened (but not melted!)

    tablespoons minced garlic

    tablespoon dried parsley (it can also be fresh, but I honestly like the lighter flavor in the dried)

    teaspoon kosher salt, plus more for seasoning

    good drizzle of olive oil (for the pan)
